Avon - Christian Lacroix + Giveaway

Time to call the Avon lady, the Green Fairy has landed in a perfume bottle! The beauty company has been collaborating with the famed couture fashion designer to create signature fragrances. Following Rouge (for women) and Noir (for men) in 2007, Avon introduced Absynthe in 2009. “Its rich, mystical color reminds me of the citrine and topaz gemstones found on exotic embroideries — a great inspiration to my fashion and newest fragrance,” explains Lacroix. Top notes of absinthe extract, golden freesia and green anise mingle with mid notes of orchid, saffron and narcissus nectar.

Suite au succès de Rouge (pour les femmes) et Noir (pour les hommes) en 2007, Avon a ensuite sorti Absynthe en 2009. “Sa couleur riche et mystique me rappelle les pierres précieuses citrines et les topazes que l'on trouve sur les broderies exotiques — c'est l'inspiration de mes créations et de ma dernière fragrance”, explique Lacroix. Ce parfum se compose d'extrait d'absinthe, de notes d'anis et d'orchidée, de safran et de nectar de narcisse.
