Zooey Deschanel: FOX Comedy in the Works

She’s always a treat to see on-screen, and Zooey Deschanel is set to star in an upcoming comedy on Fox.
According to Dead Line, the “Elf” cutie has closed the deal on the untitled single-camera comedy pilot from writer/producer, Liz Meriwether, 20th TV and studio based Chernin Entertainment.

While in negotiations for the pilot, Deschanel was also considering a spot on NBC’s “The Office” but decided to stick with the pilot.


The show, which was originally titled “Chicks and Dicks,” is described as a young ensemble comedy about the sexual politics of men and women.
