Steampunk - Episode 1
Mode La plupart des lecteurs de ce blog sont sûrement déjà desexperts avertis du courant Steampunk, mais pour les novices, résumons enquelques mots. En gros, c'est de la science-fiction victorienne, quis'influence en grande partie de la littérature de Jules Verne et des machines àvapeur. Le monde Steampunk est bien trop vaste pour ne remplir qu'une seule page alors nous allons y dédier plusieurs chapitres. Démarrons ce premier épisode avec la mode. Le look Steampunk,c'est une réinterprétation de la monde victorienne :corsets, hauts-de-forme, essentiellement dans des tons ocres, cuivrés, marrons.Des instruments fabriqués maison complètent la tenue, sans oublier l'accessoireindispensable de tout adepte du Steampunk : les lunettes d'aviateur.
Fashion Most of the readers of this blog will already be familiar with -and possibly addicted to- this particular subculture but for the neophytes, let's just say in a few words, that Steampunk is all about Victorian science-fiction, heavily influenced by 19th Century literature, especially Jules Verne and H.G. Wells and pre-modern imaginative technology. A single entry wouldn't be enough to cover the vast array of Steampunk goodies floating around online so I decided to break them into parts. Episode 1 will focus on fashion. Often found in earthy brown tones, the Steampunk look reflects the Victorian and early Edwardian eras: corsets, gowns, top hats, DIY props and the Steampunker must-have accessory, goggles. Here are a few examples.
